Lectures on Yoga & Philosophy

Hot Yoga for Life director Raj Patra is hosting a series of lectures (can be taken as the entire series or individually) in our loft. This week it’s India and Nepal Show & Tell. Learn about the Yoga of Music: Immerse yourself in the personal stories and photos of modern day travelers through India and Nepal, where spirituality and yoga dawned. Afterwards we’ll hear live performances of Indian percussion, learn about complexities of rhythm and sound, and apply those to the everyday western music and its influences on our phycological and emotional states.

Celebrating Lou with Rhonda Case

POSTPONED. Rhonda’s son, Lou, died at the end of 2014 at age 17. He was an aspiring artist, and left a lot of poetry, music, and lyrics. Tonight, we’ll be celebrating Lou’s life and the art that he created along the way. His poetry has become a book, and his music is a CD. Two of his friends, Shea MacKinnon and Tristyn Meek, will be performing some of his songs and his mother will read from his book, Free as the Sun. Come and help us celebrate Lou and his work.
